Career Opportunity: Welding & Joining Engineer

As a successful Welding-Joining Engineer with TOX Pressotechnik you will be a creative solutions provider in the manufacturing environment. You will utilize your knowledge of production specifications, properties and characteristics of metals and alloys, and engineering principles to develop and apply self-piercing rivet (SPR) products to meet our customer's needs.

 

Welding & Joining Engineer Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and manage self-piercing rivet technologies and project solutions on the process engineering and design level for joining modern lightweight structures

 

  • Work with customer and internal engineering teams to meet application requirements. You will have significant influence on the sales process from concept design through production start-up.

 

  • Serve as our SPR technology expert. You will be a valuable resource for colleagues and customers

 

  • Lead development efforts to provide state-of-the-art SPR technological advances while implementing standard design practices from lessons learned

  

Preferred Requirements

 

  • 10 years of engineering experience within the automotive industry and mass production with emphasis on assembly equipment and welding/joining engineering

 

  • Experience with joining processes: resistance and projection welding of steel and aluminum, fastener insertion, clinching and riveting operations 

  

  • Successful candidate will have proven leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, team building, and communication skills

 

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. Welding/Joining, Mechanical, Industrial or related field
